Caupona Pompeii Restaurant
CAUPONA – “Caupona” that from the Latin means tavern, in the ancient Pompeii there were about 89, the most famous is that of Lucio Vetuzio Placido in Via dell’Abbondanza. Our “concept” is to give life to a unique experience, without neglecting any details.
Eat in earthenware dishes, pour wine with amphorae and drink in goblets, dress with the clothes of the era, all like in ancient Pompeii, immersed in solid wood tables from the Spartan style of the old cauponae, soft light and a harmonic music that will accompany you throughout lunch or dinner.
Caupona also offers a gourmet, creative, dynamic cuisine, using local products skilfully mixed with contemporary tastes. Taking a dip in the past is priceless. An emotion that goes beyond the senses.
We are located a few steps from the excavations of Pompeii.
